HIRING POLICIES

  1. F.G. Rayburn Mason Contractors, Inc. makes hiring decisions based on its business needs according to relevant factors for the position(s) being filled.  We do not discriminate on the basis of union affiliation, race, religion, marital status, sex, color, age, national origin, non-disqualifying disability or any other protected status.
     
  2. We accept job applications year round.  When openings become available, we reserve the right to review active applications already on file, prior to new applications.  Applications remain active for 60 days.  It is the applicant’s responsibility to keep our hiring personnel informed of his/her availability.
     
  3. Applications are available and will be accepted at the Company’s office located at 3791 State Routes 5 & 20, Canandaigua, New York 14424 between the hours of 9:00am and 11:00am on Monday through Thursday by appointment only.  Applications must be completed in person by the applicant during these times.
     
  4. Exceptions will be made when the work is outside the Monroe and Ontario County areas.  In those situations, we will have applications on the job site because of the distance from our office.  All other rules apply.
     
  5. We do not accept group applications or photocopied forms.  We hire based on personal contact with individuals so that we can make sound business judgments as to the most suitable applicants for the positions we are seeking to fill.
     
  6. Any applicant who falsifies or omits material information on the application may be disqualified from being hired based on the nature and significance of the falsification or omission.  If the employee has been hired before the falsification or omission is discovered, he or she is subject to termination.
     
  7. Our hiring decisions are based on a variety of factors, which depend on the position to be filled. Priority is given to past employees with good records, applicants recommended by current Company supervisors, current employees and others known to Company officers as reliable sources of information as to the applicant’s character, work ethic, skills and/or ability.  Other relevant factors include:  suitability of background for the position being sought; work ethic; skills and ability to perform the job; employment references; willingness to accept the offered salary and work; and personal interview.
